Your Guided Gallery Reveal & Design Consultation

What Happens Next: From Moments to Masterpieces

The session was a success! Now comes the most exciting part: seeing your story come to life. In about a week, we will meet back at the studio to view your curated gallery and design the perfect way to display your portraits.

Your Ordering Appointment: What to Expect

We will meet in our private consultation suite, where you’ll view a hand-picked selection of your best images projected in large scale.

  • The Selection Process: I will be right there to help you narrow down the gallery to your absolute favorites.

  • Expert Design: Together, we’ll decide which images belong in a custom coffee table album and which deserve a place of honor on your walls.

  • Finalizing Your Order: We will finalize and place your order during this appointment, so please ensure all decision-makers are present.

Preparing for Your Visit

To make the most of our time together, I recommend a little "homework" before you arrive:

  • Walk Your Walls: Take a look around your home. Are there empty spaces above the mantle, in the hallway, or in the nursery? Bringing a quick photo of those walls (or even basic measurements) helps us visualize exactly how your art will look in your space.

  • The Gift List: Think about the grandparents, godparents, or close friends who would cherish a gift print. Having a list ready ensures no one is forgotten!

  • Think Beyond the Screen: While you will receive a social-media-ready digital version of every portrait you order (plus any "artist favorites" I share on my social channels), our focus is on creating tangible, heirloom-quality art that won't get lost on a hard drive.

A Note on Your Images

At Betsy’s Photography, we believe that portraits are meant to be felt and held.

  • Printed Art: Our studio specializes in museum-quality wall art and hand-crafted albums.

  • Digital Sharing: You will receive a social media-ready digital file optimized for social media sharing for every image you purchase as a physical print or album page.

  • Curation: Please note that we do not release "all digitals" from the session; instead, we focus on providing you with the highest-quality finished pieces that represent your family at their very best.

How to "Measure" Your Walls (The Easy Way!)

One of the hardest parts of choosing wall art is imagining the scale. To help me show you exactly how your portraits will look on your specific walls during our ordering appointment, I have a simple trick for you:

If we’ve already provided you with our custom 8" Studio Ruler, this is the perfect time to use it! This physical reference allows my design software to calibrate to your room's exact dimensions with 100% accuracy. If you've misplaced it, please use a standard piece of letter paper (8.5x11) instead!

Why does this work? During our session in the consultation room, I can use that piece of paper as a "scale" in my design software. I’ll be able to virtually "hang" your portraits on your actual wall, showing you exactly what a 16x20 looks like compared to a 30x40.

Using Your Studio-Provided Ruler

  1. Find your wall: Go to the spot in your home where you’d love to see a portrait (above the sofa, the mantle, or in the hallway).

  2. Tape the Ruler: Tape the ruler flat against the wall. Ensure the ruler is straight and clearly visible.

  3. Snap a photo: Stand back so I can see the whole wall (including some furniture for context) and take a straight-on photo with your phone.

  4. Send it to me: Email or text me that photo before our appointment!

The "8.5 x 11" Reference Photo

  1. Find your wall: Go to the spot in your home where you’d love to see a portrait (above the sofa, the mantle, or in the hallway).

  2. Tape a standard sheet of paper: Take a regular piece of printer paper (8.5" x 11") and tape it flat to that wall.

  3. Snap a photo: Stand back so I can see the whole wall (including some furniture for context) and take a straight-on photo with your phone.

  4. Send it to me: Email or text me that photo before our appointment!
