Life can be so busy when you’re a parent. Add those kid schedules into the mix and life gets more complicated, right? That’s why we often plan family portrait sessions several months in advance. It makes life easier for everyone! And, when you decide to do your family portraits at your home, there’s another bonus! I come to you — and you DON’T HAVE TO TRAVEL. Yep, one less thing to do the day of your session. How’s that for being efficient and minimizing stress?
The day of the O. Family’s portrait session, I arrived at their home and set up my equipment while the family finished getting ready. We chatted a little to review what the family wanted regarding their portraits. And then we got started! Here are some awesome highlights from their session:
Before the family portrait session started, I walked around the house to get a feel for the landscaping and which areas might look nice. After doing some family portraits, we did some mother daughter portraits. Mom spontaneously gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek, and I am so glad I caught that moment for them 🙂. Then it was time for the father son portrait. They goofed around a bit too — but settled in for this nice portrait of the two of them.
The O. Family really enjoyed their family portrait session at home, and I am so glad we could create some beautiful portraits to hang on their walls!
