Little Amelia Earhart. Painted Portrait

This sweet girl came into my studio a while back for a portrait session. She was very judicious about sharing her smiles, but I love her expression. I painted the clouds as a background for this image because I thought it complemented the sense of adventure and freedom we all associate with being a pilot. It was so much fun to paint the details on her leather jacket, the cute had, and to create a realistic-looking set of pilot googles on top of her head.
