Gerard of Csanád Monument (Szent Gellért-szobor)

This statue on the Danube near Budapest's Parliament sits atop Gellért Hill. The Gerard of Csanád Monument can be seen from the Danube river, and looks especially impressive at night. On one of our day in Budapest, we hiked up to the monument from the riverside. The path is very easy to walk, and the view shown here is what you see if you walk around behind the monument. To the left of the statue, through the columns, you can just barely see the Budapest Parliament building on the other side of the river.

Location: Budapest, Hungary.
