Wedding Photography FAQ

Betsy’s Photography is dedicated to providing you with the quality of service you deserve and the creative images you need. Here are a few frequently asked questions about Betsy’s Photography and the wedding photography services we provide.
Setting the Date…
Once you’ve decided on a date, it’s time to begin your search for a photographer. Here are some date-related questions and answers about our wedding coverages:
How can I find out if my date is available? Contact the studio to find out if your date is available. Please don’t forget to tell us the year of your wedding date, as we often reserve dates more than a year in advance.
How can I reserve my wedding date? While I’d love to hold your date, a non-refundable date reservation fee is necessary in order to do so. This allows me to let other brides know your date is already taken, and gives you the peace of mind knowing that this date has been reserved for you. Call or email Betsy as soon as possible to make sure Betsy’s Photography will be there for your wedding day.
Why do you only schedule one wedding per day? The reason Betsy books only one wedding per day is so that her entire focus can be completely on your wedding. By choosing Betsy’s Photography, you’ll be able to relax, knowing that on your wedding, Betsy will be there for you.
What if I don’t want to reserve my date yet? We understand that planning your wedding can’t be done overnight – but, without having a non-refundable reservation fee paid and your date reservation form submitted, Betsy will still take inquiries from other couples for the date you are interested in. The only way to guarantee that Betsy will be available for your wedding is to reserve your date.

Coverage Questions…
You’re probably curious about how Betsy photographs weddings. Here are some general answers about our coverage and techniques:
What does my wedding day coverage include? You have a number of coverage options when you book your wedding with Betsy’s Photography. These coverages are suited to fit different needs, so please set up a consultation to find out more.
Do you use film or digital? Betsy’s Photography is 100% digital – even though film is great to work with, digital allows Betsy more creativity and more control throughout the process of creating your images. Betsy’s digital equipment provides her with images that are comparable to its film counterparts — so even you can rest assured that your images will be just as high quality as in the days of film.
Can you photograph my wedding in black & white? Yes, Betsy can create black & white images for your wedding. Betsy photographs all weddings in color, but black & white toning will be applied to images as she sees fit.
Do you Travel? Do you have a travel fee? Betsy’s Photography photographs weddings in Ann Arbor, Dexter, Saline, Ypsilanti, and more – the most common locations are actually scattered throughout Southeast Michigan. 100 miles roundtrip is included in all Wedding Collections. For most weddings, this is plenty of coverage. If Betsy will need to travel more than 100 miles for your wedding, a fair and reasonable travel fee will be charged. Have questions about a specific location that you think will require more than 100 miles travel? Contact Betsy’s Photography.
